The Maine Public Employees Retirement System is seeking a Human Resources Manager.  This management position is responsible for the administration of all Human Resources functions.  Under the general direction of the Deputy Director of Administration, the incumbent plans, directs and assesses all functions and services of the Human Resources department.

 

Overall responsibilities of this position include personnel policy development, personnel risk management, compensation, benefits administration, training, long-term planning, managing change, maintaining positive employee relations, implementing activities in support of the System’s Mission, and aligning human resources activities with business goals.  The incumbent serves as a resource to members of the Senior Management Group.

 

Minimum qualifications: 

·         A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and four years of HR management

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications: 

·         Master’s degree

·         Experience with labor-management issues

·         Human Resource certification

The Maine Public Employees Retirement System is seeking an Information Technology & Security Officer.  Under the general direction of the Deputy Executive Director of Administration, this position is responsible for managing the Information Technology team, including security, development and operations. Establishes and implements the Technology vision, strategies and tactics.  Manager consults and participates with internal team members, senior management, leadership, vendor contacts, etc., to collaboratively determine priorities for technology.  Assures quality of IT deliverables, strong and proactive security position, and currency of practices.  Serves as a mentor and technical resource to team and other staff members as necessary.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

      ·  Bachelor’s degree in information technology is required.  A business degree with an information technology background is also acceptable.

      ·  Ten (10) years of experience with progressive responsibility in a relevant field, including five (5) years in technical management.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

·  Master’s degree in business, management, computer science or similar.
